The Auxx-Guard is a two-level solid hardwood guard rail built to wrap the platform of your Auxx-Lift motorized garage storage system, helping keep stored items contained and in place as the platform travels. Built from real hardwood, not plywood or veneer, each guard beam measures 3/4 inch by 1-1/2 inches and is available in a Maple or Walnut finish.
Installation starts with four corner brackets mounted at the platform's corners, with hardwood guard beams cut to match each side's exact length and secured to the brackets with pilot-drilled screws. Small mounting clips hook onto the platform's existing wire mesh to lock the first level in place, using eight clips across the four beam sections.
The second level mounts above the first using vertical support rods at each corner, spaced roughly 1/2 to 1 inch above Level 1, with its own set of hardwood beams and corner brackets. Two additional threaded rods reinforce the long sides between levels for extra rigidity. For platforms carrying heavier or shifting loads, extra screws can be added through each corner bracket directly into the guard beam for added stability.
Unlike accessories that require removing the platform's ceiling mounting hardware, the Auxx-Guard installs entirely at the platform level, without disassembling the lift's motor or bracket connections. Manufacturer guidance estimates roughly three hours for a professional installer.

Per the manufacturer's installation guide, Level 1 can function as a complete single-level guard rail on its own. This kit ships with hardware for both levels, as sold.
The slats are sized for the 4x8 platform as sold, but the manufacturer's installation guide includes measuring steps that allow the layout to be adapted to other Auxx-Lift platform sizes.
